Evergreen Booklet

OBJECTIVE

Design a booklet for Evergreen Brickworks in Toronto.  With the use of the existing text given. 

SOLUTION

I wanted the booklet to be clean and easy for users to read. I added some photography so people can get an insight on what Evergreen Brickworks looks like. I only added the photos where most appropriate.

OBJECTIVE

Redesign an existing magazine or create a new magazine. Magazine must consist of a table of contents, 3 feature stories, letters to the editor, editors letter, horoscope page and advertisements. 

SOLUTION

Since I like to go travelling, I chose to design a travel magazine. I wanted to have a tropical look but with also a smooth transition to the fall season. Throughout the magazine I wanted to include lots of photography. 

Designer Booklet

OBJECTIVE

Choose a designer or artist of your choice and create a booklet based on the text of an interview. 

SOLUTION

I chose the designer Marc Jacobs. For the booklet I wanted to showcase his clothes so that is why with every page I included a model that is wearing his clothes with the interview text. 

Foodshare Brochure

OBJECTIVE

Design the Toronto Foodshare logo and brochure. With the given foodshare brochure text. As well as using typography and photography. 

SOLUTION

I wanted to include photos of produce for the brochure so people know what that Foodshare offers fresh produce. As well as highlight the titles with a different shade of green from the descriptions. 

Personal Infographic

OBJECTIVE

Track anything we wanted for 14 days and after create an infographic using icons with the data collected. 

SOLUTION

I decided to track what I eat for 14 days. I wanted to use different icons of the foods that I ate to make the infographic look like it is food related. The bigger icons represent that I had more than one serving that day. 

Photoshop Magazine

OBJECTIVE

Create an image for the front cover of Photoshop Magazine using any photos and any filters or techniques we want. 

SOLUTION

I took a photo and I wanted to use different filters on it. I used a mosaic filter to create the squares and to make it look like a canvas photo I added a canvas texture to the photo. 

Bike Plan Booklet

OBJECTIVE

Design a new logo and booklet for the Toronto Bike Plan to let bike riders around Toronto know what is happening. 

SOLUTION

To make the booklet look more about the bike safety around the city, I wanted to include different bike photography on the pages of the booklet. I added lighter shade of red to highlight the importance of different paragraphs.
